Archetype Software Limited
About Archetype Software:

History:

Archetype was released in May 2001 and the first installation was in a medium sized Architectural office in Glasgow, Scotland. In a few months Archetype had been installed in a number of major design offices, including local authorities, architects and consulting engineers, in the central belt of Scotland. It became clear that Archetype did not have any competition in terms of the low cost, range of functionality and ease of use. At the end of the first year Archetype had recruited dealers in England and Ireland and was selling software throughout the UK and Southern Ireland.

Archetype is now more than six years old and has sold more than 3,800 copies of its software. It now has dealers in Ireland, Australia, Dubai, Hong Kong and India and computer dealers in other countries are showing an interest in selling its software.

Archetype Software Limited does not sell its software directly but relies entirely on its dealers to sell the software and to undertake sales and marketing activities such as advertising, exhibitions and conferences. Archetype dealers are required to demonstrate sufficient ability to demonstrate, install, train and support the software to Archetype's high standards. This usually requires a mix of technical skills and an understanding of their clients' businesses. Dealer training provides a thorough, in depth understanding of the software and includes technical and sales training.
