The Archetype Calendar is used for scheduling your appointments. It also allows you to give permission to other users to open your calendar and make appointments for you. You can also check on the appointments of other staff with the Schedule (group calendars) facility (see below). The schedule can also contain other items e.g. rooms, equipment, vehicles. It is possible to make a group booking that includes people, rooms and equipment in a single operation. You can also check on the availability of rooms, equipment and vehicles and book them.
The colours in the calendar can be set to relate to the purpose of a booking e.g. you can have all personal bookings in red and all site inspections in green (or any colour you choose). The calendar is integrated with other Archetype modules. For example, the holiday planner. When a holiday has been approved it is automatically scheduled in the appropriate calendar and public and statutory holidays are highlighted.
The Calendar can synchronize with your Outlook Calendar and with PDAs.
The Calendar Schedule view shows all the calendars and allows you to check for availability of other users and to make group bookings. The group bookings can also schedule the use of rooms, equipment, vehicles, etc.
